Goals & Purpose

The project aimed to help a UAE-based affiliate marketer promote deals and earn commissions through tracked links. It was designed to provide a user-friendly, ad-free alternative to cluttered coupon sites.

My Role & Tools Used

Developed and deployed the complete static site using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and Firebase Hosting. Ensured fast loading, mobile responsiveness, and SEO-friendly structure.

Key Features

• Categorized promo codes by brand

• Click-to-copy coupon functionality

• Simple, clean mobile-first layout

• Firebase-hosted with minimal backend dependencies

What Went Well

• Very lightweight and fast-loading on mobile

• Easy to maintain and update without a CMS

Challenges Faced

• The client wanted frequent promo updates without a CMS, which required manual HTML edits.

• After two years, the client discontinued it due to low affiliate conversion rates.

What I Learned

• Learned to structure static affiliate sites for SEO and performance

• Gained insights into the affiliate marketing model and its challenges in niche markets
